Current LBR-FLIP - Djuna Barnes
As the LBHF continues to explore the
relationships between people, literature, culture, history,
politics, and art through the LBR-FLIP program, we
will offer direct translations of our profiles and features
as part of that program. We will also offer thought
provoking essays which will address the impact that
imported works by specific artists have had, and will
continue to have, on other cultures.
In the spirit of this project's goal,
we've chosen to address the life and work of Djuna Barnes.
This forgotten, then resurrected modernist has given the
20th century some of its most experimental work. We've
chosen Spanish as our first featured language for
interpretation. Ms. Eva
Gallud from Madrid, Spain has graciously
translated our current pages on Djuna Barnes.
