     We are pleased to have a short story to offer our readers this time.  It is written by Kim Everett.  Everett is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop.  Her fiction has appeared in magazines, including the North American Review and Passages North.  She currently lives in Gig Harbor, Washington, where she is at work on a collection of short stories.  You can contact Kim at kim@falconry.org.
